As many of you know, the FREC created a new team advertising rule, 61J2-10.026, which licensees must comply with by July 1, 2019. However, at the September FREC meeting, the commissioners indicated they will also consider new language for the already-existing advertising rule, 61J2-10.025, at the next monthly meeting which is to be held on October 17, 2018 in Orlando.
While no specific language has been proposed to date, the FREC did indicate that the intent of any revision to the rule is to make the rule consistent with the team advertising rule. One of the suggested changes is to mandate that the individual licensee’s name not exceed the size of the brokerage name, similar to 61J2-10.026.
